Wilson Creek Winery is located just 7 miles east off the I-15 freeway in the lush Southern California Wine Country. On the winery grounds, the gardens are the pride and joy of winery owners Rosie and Gerry Wilson. A bridge spans a meandering stream, dubbed "Wilson Creek" by the family. A large grassy area is near the stream, and flower gardens abound. A 25-foot gazebo overlooks the stream and has a large lawn for seating at weddings and concerts. Nearby is a vine-covered picnic area, where you may enjoy your picnic lunch with a bottle of Wilson Creek wine. The myriad of birds and humming birds will entertain you while you soak up the peacefulness of the gardens. The Tasting Room features wine country gift items and apparel that will appeals to the locals as well as day visitors. The NEW Creekside Grille restaurant is the highlight of food and pairing, where you can enjoy cuisine and delicious Wilson Creek wine adjacent to the Cabernet grapevines while under the covered patio structure.
Following their retirements, Gerry and Rosie Wilson bought a 20-acre vineyard planted in 1969. The vineyard was planted in Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Pinot St. George. They built a 5400-square tasting room and winery and a house on top of the hill, overlooking the winery. Their family soon joined them and also moved to Temecula. Son Bill supervised construction of the building and is now the General Manager of the winery. His wife Jennifer is the buyer for the Tasting Room, Son Mick oversees Facilities and his wife Deanna supervises the Wholesale Distribution portion of the business. Daughter Libby is the winery Concierge and her husband Craig helps out with Sales. Truly, Wilson Creek is a family project.
